Unveiling...FUNTECH RACING

We are 10 days away from our 90 mile charity ride! The ride is going to be challenging with a total climbing elevation of 2,782 feet. We have put a lot of miles on our bikes and are in the home stretch of our training.

The forecast for Sunday, in Austin, looks good, so I hope the Saturday rain doesn't disturb that.

Because our audience is part of a special group, I am providing a sneak peak of FUNTECH RACING. To the right are the jerseys that we will be wearing for our ride next week. Thank you to Dan Wiggins for designing them.

We are proud to represent our sponsors:  FISHER/UNITECH, SolidWorks, Stratasys, and St. Charles United Soccer Club.

Thank you for all of the donations, w
e only have until October 20th to receive donations. Currently, we have raised $2,920 towards our goal of $15,000. Please help if you can. Also, pass the below links on to your friends and family.

2010 LiveSTRONG Challenge Training Update

We are 95 days away from the LiveSTRONG Challenge and I thought I would provide an update of our training progress:

    Mike Hansen:
"I have been doing some fun races and a 1/2 marathon so far this year. I've been doing a few spin classes a week to supplement saddle time."
Shawn Forry:

"I'm only starting the transition from running to biking. I've run a 10k and a half marathon, and a duathlon that was 20k on the bike within the last 2 months. For the last 2 weeks I've been mountain biking on the weekend and riding a stationary bike over lunch at the gym 4 days a week. With the pseudo miles on the stationary bike, maybe 50 miles a week."
Dan Wiggins:

"I've been riding 4-5 days/week. Working on building my foundation, averaging about 80 miles week, which includes some speed work."
Rich Nobliski:

I have been riding about 20-40 miles 3-4 days/week. Recently I started to ride to work, which is 19 miles each way. The weather hasn't been cooperating.

Training has been tough...and here is an example of that. While mountain biking, I took a few falls, which lead to casts for a partially torn ligament in my thumbs. I supported the cancer cause and went with Breast Cancer pink. I did add an engineering touch, by utilizing Duct Tape.

We have a goal of $15,000, and we are only at $685. I am asking if co-workers, friends, families, and customers could please help us out in meeting our goal...more importantly help fight cancer with FUNTECH RACING!

Thank you,

Rich Nobliski

Funtech Racing Taking Part in the 2010 LIVESTRONG Challenge

Join FISHER/UNITECH in helping fight the battle against cancer by donating to the 2010 Funtech Racing team.

Two of our employees, Dan Wiggins and Rich Nobliski, will bike 90 miles in this year's LIVE
STRONG Challenge in Austin, Texas, October 23-24.  The LIVESTRONG Challenge Series is the signature fundraising event for LIVESTRONG (Lance Armstrong's Foundation.)  For the past 13 years, the series has raised over $60 million for the fight against cancer.

In 2009, LIVE
STRONG raised over $10 million thanks to more than 20,000 participants, volunteers and sponsors.  In 2010 there will be four LIVESTRONG Challenges held:
  • Seattle, June 19-20
  • San Jose, July 10-11
  • Philadelphia, August 21-22
  • Austin, October 23-24
