SOLIDWORKS TECH TIP: Favorite Shortcuts - Mouse Gestures

I'm all about shortcuts in SolidWorks and always looking for new ones. Here's one I've recently found that uses Mouse Gestures.

The shortcut is to quickly align your view to "Normal To" when you are creating a sketch. This is very handy at those times when you need to see your sketch from that perspective.

In case you don't use Mouse Gestures, they can be accessed in SolidWorks by holding down your right mouse button (RMB) and dragging your mouse in any direction. As you move the mouse, the Mouse Gesture wheel appears in the viewing area.

First, you need to turn Mouse Gestures on in the in the Customize dialog box (Tools > Customize or RMB along any toolbar) and under the Mouse Gesture tab. You can have 4 or 8 gestures on the wheel by selecting the appropriate button.
